Synopsis français.
La tempête gronde chez la voisine. M. L’espérance espère lui insuffler un peu de douceur en lui fabriquant un cadeau. Tout en travaillant, le vieil homme est assailli par un flot de souvenirs refaisant surface. Les images et les sons se bousculent dans sa tête, se déconstruisent et s’amalgament, pour former des images inédites. Il revit des bribes de son enfance de fils de marin.
English synopsis.
A storm is brewing next door. Mr. L'espérance hopes to breathe a little sweetness into her life by making her a gift. As he works, the old man is assailed by a flood of resurfacing memories. Images and sounds jostle in his head, deconstructing and amalgamating to form never-before-seen images. He relives snatches of his childhood as a sailor's son.

Biographie :
Alexa Tremblay-Francoeur est une artiste visuelle et animatrice traditionnelle 2D qui se spécialise dans la création de court-métrages d'animation. En 2016, son premier film intitulé Le passage récoltera le prix de la relève régionale lors de la 20e édition du festival Regard sur le court-métrage. Elle travaille professionnellement depuis 2019 dans le domaine de l’animation 2D et participe la même année au projet Dessins animés de La bande-Sonimage. En découlera le film Affannato, sélectionné dans une vingtaine de festivals régionaux, nationaux et internationaux.
Biography :
Alexa Tremblay-Francoeur is a visual artist and traditional 2D animator specialized in the creation of animated short films. In 2016, her first film, entitled Le passage, will receive the relève régionale prize at the 20th edition of the Regard short film festival. She has been working professionally as a 2D animator since 2019 and, during the same year, participated in the Dessins animés project instigated by La bande Sonimage. From which will be created the short film Affannato, selected in twenty regional, national and international festivals.
