Synopsis français.
Alice, étudiante au Cégep, entame sa première crise existentielle. Incertaine de son futur, elle s’appuie sur sa mère, son professeur favori, son ami Julien et la douce musique qu’il compose. Ce matin, en classe, une nouvelle sera livrée par la directrice. Cette nouvelle marquera le début d’une complexe relation entre Alice et le deuil absent.
English synopsis.
Alice, a graduating high school student, is unsure about all aspects of her future. Uncertain about her own talent and ambition, she seeks comfort from her mother, as well as her good friend Julien and the beautiful music he composes. This morning, during class, news will be delivered by the principal. This news will mark the the start of a complex relationship between Alice and absent grief.

Philippe Berthelet
Biographie :
Philippe Berthelet est un jeune cinéaste basé à Montréal. Sa carrière débute en 2020 à l’école de cinéma Mel Hoppenheim, où il complète présentement ses études en production cinématographique. En 2022, à l’âge de 20 ans, il écrit, réalise et co-produit son premier court-métrage de fiction, le drame À LA FONTAINE, mettant en vedette Sara Montpetit et Paul Doucet. Philippe y assure également le montage image. Dans ce film, on revisite un moment traumatisant de sa propre jeunesse. Il souhaite présenter en détails les toutes premières étapes, chaotiques et engourdissantes, du deuil absent suite au suicide d’un proche. Son prochain projet, intitulé ACCROCHES TES PATINS!, un documentaire sur la culture du hockey amateur, est présentement en production.
